The teenage years are full of excitement, self-discovery, growth, and new opportunities. These years can also bring confusion, pressure, and emotional ups and downs. Adolescence is a time of rapid change within school, friendships, identity, and family dynamics that can sometimes feel overwhelming and daunting.
Adolescent therapy offers a safe and supportive environment where teens can explore their feelings, express themselves freely, and navigate challenges that come with this specific developmental stage. I work with teens in building confidence, strengthen coping skills, and developing healthy ways to manage stress, peer pressure, and social or academic challenges.
In therapy, there is a focus placed on helping teens understand their emotions, supporting them in making sense of their thoughts and experiences, and developing more effective emotional and communication tools they need to thrive. By creating a trusting, collaborative space, teens are given the opportunity to feel non-judgmentally heard, supported, and empowered to navigate life's challenges while building a stronger sense of identity.
